Volunteer Opportunities at Equinox, Inc.

Youth Outreach Center
- Assist youth with homework or special academic projects.
- Help with a wide range of activities, such as arts and crafts, cooking, computers, resume preparation, job building skills.
Equinox House for Youth
- Supervise computer use in the tutor room.
- Accompany youth to recreational events.
- Help with household maintenance: laundry, restocking bath supplies, cleaning rooms, and other small cleaning or maintenance tasks.
- Assist with clerical duties: answering phones, greeting residents and visitors, typing, and filing.
- Pick up food orders from the Regional Food Bank and organize the shelter food pantry.
- Interact with residents who are not attending school: transportation and supervision at the Outreach Center.
- Assist with gardening and lawn maintenance.
Transitional Living Program
- Assist with buying food at the Regional Food Bank
- Help organize the food pantry.
Domestic Violence Services
- Share your special skill with our adult or child clients: yoga, singing, gardening, dancing, art, home repair … the possibilities are endless!
- Work with residential counselors.
- Assist with donation pickups and organizing.
- Help children with schoolwork.
- Spend recreational time with children: reading, playing games/sports,taking children to recreational events.
- Assist with childcare during adult groups.
- Help with household maintenance: laundry, restocking bath supplies, cleaning rooms, and other small cleaning and maintenance tasks.
