Equinox plays a unique role as a safety net provider, providing free and unreimbursed services to youth and adults. Because these services are only partially supported by government grants and reimbursement, we depend on private philanthropic support. Equinox has remained true to its roots as a volunteer organization and relies on strong community support to achieve its mission. Each year hundreds of individuals, groups and businesses volunteer their time and talent throughout the year to youth services, domestic violence services, and administrative services. They also help with events such as the Freihofer Community Walk in May, the AIDS Walk in September and the fundraising gala in the spring.
